Huntingdon downs Panthers 83-66

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Huntingdon College downed LaGrange College 83-66 at Roland Arena on Thursday. The Panthers finished their GSAC schedule 2-4 and are 7-17 overall. Huntingdon improved to 12-11 overall and 4-2 in conference play.

Nic Whitfield led the Panthers with 16 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Joe Cromwell added 12 points.

The Panthers never led in the game. Huntingdon led by as many as 20 points in the first half. The Hawks led 44-30 at the half.

In the second half, the Panthers cut the deficit to nine points. Whitfield completed a three-point play to make it 50-41 with 15:46 left in the game. The Panthers did not get closer the rest of the game.

The Panthers close out the regular season at Pensacola Christian on Saturday.
