Render named to D3hoops.com All-South region team

LaGrange senior forward Demetris Render has been named to the D3hoops.com All-South region team. Render was selected to the third team. The team is nominated and voted on by sports information directors at schools in the region. Render was selected earlier for the GSAC All-Conference team.

Render was a four-year letterman as a post player for the Panthers. This season, he started all 25 games for the Panthers. Render led  the team in scoring and rebounding. He scored in double figures in all 25 games and had seven double-doubles this season. Render averaged 21.3 points per game and 7.7 rebounds per game. He was second in the GSAC and 33rd in NCAA Division III in scoring. Render was third in the GSAC in rebounding. He had a career-high 45 points against Emory & Henry at the season-opening Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament. In the game, he made 20-of-23 shots from the field. Render has 1,544 career points and 533 career-rebounds. He is eighth on the Panthers' all-time career scoring list. Render is second on the Panthers' all-time free throws made list with 486. He is 10th on the Panthers' all-time field goals career list.
