Head Coach Warren Haynes
Haynes begins his sixth season as head coach of the Panthers.  The Panthers were 18-9 last season and runner-ups in the Great South Athletic Conference tournament.  The 18 wins were the most by the Panthers in 13 years. Haynes brings back a strong nucleus of returners for the 2007-08 season and 11 newcomers.

Haynes followed up a 13-13 record his first year with a 15-12 record in 2003-04. It was the school's first winning season since 1993. It was the fourth straight improvement on the previous year's record.  Haynes was hit hard with graduation and was in a rebuilding year in 2004-05, finishing 7-19. His career record currently stands at 61-71.

Before being named head coach, Haynes was an assistant for four years at his alma mater, LaGrange College. He played for the Panthers from 1996-1998 and lived a season his senior year that will remain in the history books and in his mind forever.

"After playing a season with no victories, I now realize that it is not winning or losing games that builds a man's character but what he does before and after each game that really defines him," Haynes said. His loyalty to LaGrange is a constant driving force to make the Panther program one of the best in the South.

"It is not the offense or defense that will be the landmark change in LaGrange College basketball history, but the way of life," Haynes said. "There is a certain way of life that is slowly starting to evolve, and when widely adapted and accepted, there will be great success."

Haynes' playing days began in Jasper, Tenn. at Marion County High School. From there, he traveled to Wallace State Community College in Hanceville Ala., where he played for two seasons. Haynes was a captain his sophomore season at Wallace State, earning the team's Leadership Award. He stepped into a leadership role at LaGrange College in 1996. After two seasons as a Panther, Haynes racked up two Academic All-Conference plaques, two Al Mariotti Leadership Awards, and the Delma B. Fowler Most Valuable Player award his senior season.

Haynes graduated in 1998 with a degree in psychology and was a member of Psi Chi, the national honor society for psychology. He completed his master's in business administration from LaGrange in 2003. Haynes is the assistant intramural director at LaGrange and is mainly responsible for flag football and softball.

Haynes is married to the former Brook Weaver of LaGrange.

Assistant Coach Dale Lomax

Lomax's duties include coordinating practices, player development, primarily with the guards, recruiting, scouting, among other administrative duties.

Known for his leadership and ability to score, Lomax was a four-year letterman for the Panthers (2000-04) and was named GSAC All-Conference during his final two years. He received the team's Most Valuable Player award after his final season.

Lomax was a key member of a group of players that watched the program improve in each of the four years he played. He was a member of the 2003-04 team that completed their first winning season in over ten years.  It was also the first winning season as a NCAA Div. III member.  The four straight 10-plus win seasons were the most since the 1970's, when the Panthers experienced their longest run of nine straight (71-80).

Lomax resides in LaGrange.
