Sims heads GSAC baseball award winners April 30, 2008 LaGrange senior outfielder Michael Sims is the 2008 Great South Athletic Conference Player of the Year. Sims received the award during ceremonies at the GSAC Championship Tournament held at Cleaveland Field last weekend. Panthers reach GSAC championship with 6-5 win over Piedmont April 26, 2008 LaGrange advanced to the championship game of the GSAC Championship Tournament with a 6-5 win over 11th-ranked Piedmont on Saturday at Cleaveland Field. Panthers come from behind to down Huntingdon in GSAC tournament April 25, 2008 Cory Matticola had five hits and five RBIs as the Panthers came from behind to beat Huntingdon 17-9 at Cleaveland Field in the GSAC Championship tournament. The Panthers play Piedmont at 3 p.m. Saturday.
