Athletics are an important part of the LaGrange experience. The College currently features 16 intercollegiate sports (8 for men, 8 for women) Football was added beginning in the fall of 2006 and women’s lacrosse was added in the spring of 2010. The school also has a host of intramural activities. Among the best in the region, our athletic facilities include a $2 million baseball stadium, a natatorium and a softball complex.
During the 2009-10 school year, LaGrange athletic teams competed for conference and national recognition with two teams earning NCAA tournament bids. The golf team earned a bid to the NCAA Division III national championship tournament for the fourth straight year. The baseball team won the GSAC regular season and tournament titles. The baseball team also earned its first NCAA Division III national tournament bid, competing in the South Regional. The men’s and women’s basketball teams had both of the GSAC Freshman of the Year award winners. LaGrange athletes earned 19 GSAC all-conference selections and 30 earn GSAC all-academic honors.
