LaGrange College Legacies There is a remarkable trend at LaGrange College - Legacies. A legatee is a graduate who has a grandparent, parent, sibling, or spouse who also attended LaGrange. This spring 30 members of our graduating class received a Legacy Medallion and celebrated their achievement along with their family members at a special dinner in their honor.
Each legatee received a pewter medallion on a black and red ribbon to be worn during the commencement ceremony. The medallion featured a relief of Smith Hall, with every graduate's old friends, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John on one side and the College's slogan 'Challenging the mind. Inspiring the soul' and the graduate's name on the other.
The medallion serves as a reminder of the elite group to which all legatees belong; a heritage to be worn proudly.
President Gulley expressed his optimism that the legacy trend will continue to grow. "I hope that if you have children," he said, "that one day you'll be back at a function like this celebrating your continuing ties with LaGrange College." 2008 Legacy Dinner Photos 2007 Legacy Dinner Photos
