Distinguished Service Alumni Award

Recipients for the award are former LaGrange College students who have distinguished themselves in their social, civic, professional, or business careers in such a way as to reflect honor on their Alma Mater. Important criterions in the selection process are the alumnus's activities and involvement with the College since student days. The Alumni Council during its winter meeting submits nominations. A committee comprised of the College President, Alumni Association president and the Director of Alumni and Family Relations, reviews the nominations and selects a recipient(s). If an alum has received either the Shackelford Award or been named to the Wall of Outstanding Alumni in the last five years, he or she is not eligible for this award.
