New Opportunities in Science Research

Senior biology major Matt Crawford from Thomaston, Georgia, calls LaGrange College’s new laboratory science building “43,000 square feet of opportunity.” The facility, devoted entirely to laboratories, houses state-of-the-art spaces for instruction in biology, ecology, anatomy/physiology, chemistry and immunology. After graduation, Matt plans to earn an advanced degree in veterinary medicine in order to follow in his father’s professional footsteps. “Between now and the end of spring semester, I’m going to take full advantage of this new building and the hands-on research that it offers,” Matt says. “I envy freshman science students who will get to spend four whole years using all this modern equipment.”
