Cassie Bates

A heart for service.

Cassie dreams of a career as a Marine Biology Conservationist. Her commitment to protecting nature parallels her desire to help people lead better, more productive lives. And that's why she applied to become a LaGrange College Servant Scholar. Each school year, 12 juniors and 12 seniors are chosen to live in the newly renovated Broad Street Apartments and dedicate themselves to the completion of more than 1800 hours of service with local organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club, Habitat for Humanity and the West Georgia Health Cancer Clinic. "I'm serving others," Cassie says, "and, in turn, I'm becoming a better person."
