Matt grew up in Duluth, Georgia. He earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree and an M.A.T. degree in Social Science from LaGrange College. His hobbies include sculpture (his work graces several buildings on campus), drawing and painting; the sport of Frisbee.  He never misses SportsCenter or Burn Notice on television.

What does Matt look for in a student? “I’m always on the lookout for an ‘engaging’ student. And by that I mean someone who understands the importance of higher education and embraces its challenges. Someone excited about learning.” 

What does he like most about his job?  “Being able to travel and meet new and interesting people.”
