Prepare for whatever role you wish to play:
back stage to center stage
Success in the theatre takes more than talent. As a result, theatre majors at LaGrange College experience an ensemble-oriented pre-professional training program that emphasizes the practical aspects of theatre and the technique and details of process.
At LaGrange, you’ll find a curriculum that provides a strong foundation in performance, design and production, theater literature, and the business of theatre. And you’ll learn from practicing professionals. As early as your first semester, you’ll have an opportunity to work alongside skilled theatre artists from New York, Boston and Atlanta.
Recent LaGrange graduates have worked as professional actors, stage managers, producers, technicians and designers at such places as Imagination Stage in Washington, D.C., Chicago Kids Company, Arkansas Repertory Theatre, TheatreWorks Singapore, The California Theatre Center and at the Horizon, Actor's Express and 7Stages theaters in Atlanta.
