Jan Term Study in Costa Rica Learn locally study globally. For psychology students, the January Interim Term at LaGrange College is about expanding boundaries and geographical horizons.
Exploring Animal Behavior (INTM 4329) During this two-week course, you'll study behavioral observation techniques at Zoo Atlanta and conduct research on the species that interests you. In part two, your learning will come alive in the wilds of Costa Rica. The incredible tropical habitat of Costa Rica is home to more than 800 indigenous species. In other words, an animal for everyone: howler monkey spider monkey squirrel monkey white-faced capuchin monkey tapir sloth leatherback sea turtle jaguar resplendant quetzal peccary coatimundi crocodile Special Topics: Positive Psychology (PSYC 4480) Abnormal psychology has been observed and studied extensively. (You'll do that here.) But during Jan Term, LaGrange College students examine just the opposite: "positive psychology." In this senior-level course, students profile patterns of happiness and the characteristics of those who achieve it. Only a handful of colleges examine the topic, and even fewer offer it as a course for undergraduate study.
