The following talent-based scholarships and/or awards are available to music majors at various levels of study:

Choir Scholarships
A limited number of talent-based choir scholarships are available for non-music majors who participate with the choir. To apply, please contact the Director of Choral Activities at (706) 880-8188.

Departmental Scholarships
A limited number of departmental scholarships are available to students demonstrating exceptional talent and high academic achievement.

The Felicia Maddox Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded generally to a junior or senior music major with a high academic record and exceptional performance skill.

The George E. Morrison Music Award
This annual award is given to a junior or senior music major who demonstrates outstanding academic excellence and promise for professional success.

The Greenville United Methodist Church Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to either a Music or a Christian Education major demonstrating the desire and skill to work with the youth of the Greenville United Methodist Church. Recipients of the award are chosen by a committee, and along with the monetary tuition assistance, are given a house in which to live.

Herbert H. Cox Scholarship
The Herbert H. Cox Music Scholarship was established by David and Janet Rutledge Thompson in memory of a beloved music instructor.

The Martha Estes Achievement Award
This award is given annually to a senior music major who has demonstrated exceptional academic skills and performance talent throughout his or her tenure in the department.

The Mattox-Zachry Achievement Scholarship
Established in 2001, this scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshman demonstrating exceptional promise in the field of music. The renewable award is determined by the student's audition performance and academic record.

The Pauline Witherspoon Hutchinson Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior music major demonstrating exceptional talent and service to the department.
 
Kathryn T. Cline Scholarship
Established by Mrs. Francis Henry Rand, class of 1956, in recognition of Dr. Kathryn Cline, LaGrange College Professor of Music from 1940 to 1980.

Amy Johnson Smith Boozer Scholarship
In honor and memory of a wife, sister, and mother who loved music and family beyond measure. May her passion for beautiful melodies inspire others to a life overflowing with dreams fulfilled.

Ann Louise Kitchen Bryant Music Scholarship
Established by Rev. Charles M. and Dr. Toni Passmore Anderson to honor the significant influence Mrs. Bryant, an elementary educator, made in the life and career of Dr. Anderson.

Carolyn Monfort Bernard Annual Music Scholarship Grant
Established by Rodney L. Bernard and Carolyn Monfort Bernard, class of 1959, to reflect their commitment to LaGrange College and the LaGrange College Music Department.

Polly Smith Moore Scholarship
Established by Walter Evans in memory of his mother, Polly Smith Moore, class of 1927.

Hortense Hughes Moore Scholarship
Established by Dr. John V. Moore in memory of his mother, Hortense Hughes Moore, class or 1927.
