Choir & Conducting


Debbie Ogle Mrs. Debbie Ogle conducts all ensembles at LaGrange College, including the LaGrange College Chamber Choir, the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra Chorus and the Women’s Chorale. In addition, she teaches Conducting, Voice, Music Fundamentals, and Humanities, an interdisciplinary course at LaGrange College. She has conducted on both the secondary and college levels and is the founder of the Young Singers of LaGrange, a professional children's choir.

Choirs under Debbie's direction have performed throughout the United States and Europe, singing in such venues as: St. Mary's, Westminster Hall and Canterbury Cathedral across England, Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, the Pisa Baptistry in Pisa, San Giovanni et Paolo in Venice, and St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome, where they sang Friday Mass.

Professor Ogle is an active member of the professional organizations: NATS, GMEA, and ACDA.  In January 2013, she will be the featured choral clinician at the University of Alabama Church Music Conference. Ogle earned her BS degree from the University of Montevallo and her MM degree from the University of Alabama.
