National History Day in the Classroom – Workshop for Teachers

When: July 21, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. to July 24, 2015 at 12:00 p.m.
Where: LaGrange College
For Whom: Middle and High School teachers who are new to NHD (less than 3 years experience with NHD)

Come to LaGrange College for the 2015 National History Dayteacher workshop. Teachers will gain hands on experience with theNational History Day model which will enable them to mentor studentseffectively in project-based learning.

Instructors: Experts from the Minnesota Historical Society(home to one of America's Strongest NHD programs) andFaculty from the LaGrange College History Department and Lewis Library


  • $40 for pre-service teachers or commuters
  • $75 for residential participants

The cost covers lodging for three nights (commuters excluded), instruction, andmost meals.
