Ed.S - Education Specialist in Curriculum and Instruction

Experienced teachers who desire to increase their content knowledge, improve their teaching skills and become teacher leaders may want to consider LaGrange College's Specialist in Education (Ed.S.) degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

Candidates would be expected to hold a Master's degree and Level 5 certification.
By comparing international teaching methods and outcomes, candidates learn how their global counter parts go about teaching children.
Primary emphasis is on extending the candidate's content knowledge.
Included is a capstone research project wherein a specific international teaching practice is examined and compared to current practices in the United States.
This program focuses on the development of successful school-based leaders, curriculum coaches and instructional specialists.

Earn your degree in just 14 months

Classes start in June and finish at the end of July the following year.
EDUC 7300 Specialist Project Seminar is taken in the last semester of academic coursework.
